Originally, this post was to be just about pregnancy and childloss of all kinds. It’s a day where all grieving parents can come together and reflect on their loss by lighting a candle at 7pm, in honor of their baby.
Sadly, another angel baby got his wings yesterday. Sweet little 1st grader Luke Smith lived in our neighborhood and passed away suddenly after contracting a very serious respiratory illness. Although we do not know the Smith Family personally, as new parents we cannot even begin to imagine their pain.
Ralph and I will be tying a red ribbon around our tree tonight for little Luke and lighting a candle for him and our own angel babies.
Please join us.
For those of you in the Vistancia Neighborhood that would like to help, here is how:
A Food Tidings Account has been set up here for the Smith Family. The family has allergy restrictions, so in lieu of prepared meals, money can be given through this schedule for Food Tidings to order meals on behalf of the family. This will insure the family receives meals specific to their dietary needs. Simply click Help Another Way under schedule.
Eat at the Haymaker Restaurant on October 20th for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner – 100% of the profits will go to the Smith Family.
A candlelight vigil will be held tonight, Wednesday, October 15th at the flagpole of Vistancia Elementary at 6:30pm.
